
The production of food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products doesn’t often take place through a real chemical reaction, but rather through a crystallization process: the chemical substance, due to the change in solubility conditions, precipitates in a controlled manner (in the form of crystals), so that it can be separated from the solvent itself.
In the industrial field, this kind of reaction occurs inside a crystallizer, a particular type of reactor, being able to start crystallization by concentration, cooling or evaporation.
Masterinox can produce forced-circulation crystallizers (crystallization by evaporation), based on customers’ needs as for the purity and grain size of crystals resulting from the production process.
